I finally sat down and finished Final Fantasy Tactics.
After 8 years, I have finally completed that game.
Off to bed…
E3 in the morning.

Years ago, along with my friend Snogger T., we created a wonderful “song” entitled Leapfrog Doggystyle.
Give it a listen.
Well, it wasn’t until recently that I was introduced to the perfect illustration, the one image that best exemplifies what that beautiful song is all about.
Enjoy.
Things have gotten considerably better at work. Last week was horrible and I wanted to quit right away, I suppose I’ll wait it out a bit longer. I do actually like what I do which is a hard thing to replace. I will keep looking, although, but I needn’t quit until I find something better and higher paying. One thing that is great is I get 25% off at the comic shop since I am an “Industry Professional.”
I haven’t posted in a while, been busy. My dad was in town this weekend and we did a few things. It was fun. Tokyopop went crazy last week and I no longer want to work there. I used to really like working there, but I can’t respect myself if I work for the kind of people who treat their staff the way we have been ever since last Monday. I’ve lost all respect for that company. I’m still employed there, but I’m out as soon as possible. If anyone knows of anything up my alley, let me know. My friend Mike, of Moodoo Puppets fame, had a kid Friday night. His wife, did at least. He isn’t a tranny.
2005 is officially the year I will finally learn to surf.
If any of you have any tips or know where I can get good deals on equipment, lemmee know.
I went to the first night of the Genndy Tartakovsky retrospective at the Egyptian Theatre which was quite cool. I had never seen the Emmy-winning one-hour “Birth of Evil” episode of Samurai Jack. It is much better than most animated features in the Theater. Genndy pretty much verified my concerns about Cartoon Network without directly saying it–they are becoming a corporate manufacturer of the same crap as everyone else. They seem to be heading in the direction of becoming Nick 2. Let’s hope that changes. He said Astroboy is basically in limbo, so it may be a long time (if ever) before it gets made. I also saw Steamboy this weekend which I liked VERY much, much like I knew I would. Otomo does not let me down. I hope to see more Steamboy stuff, be it animated or in comic format. Three puppet shows and a trip to the beach. It was a busy weekend.
It starts Friday.
Genndy Tartakovsky is also going to be at the Egyptian Theatre Friday night.
Decisions.
I’ve been wanting to get a Powerbook (or ibook) since December, but the funds had not been in order. Well, Saturday, I finally bought one and I got the Macromedia Studio MX Studio for $600 off. The good thing is since I waited, I actually got one of the newer stronger Powerbooks Apple released a couple of weeks ago. It’s a great little machine, although I’m sure the Mac-haters will have plenty unfounded remarks to make.
Some of you may be familiar with the animated Flash series Xombie. It is pretty popular at Newgrounds. I am a member of the mailing list and I received a very cool email today. Check it out:
From the Xombie Mailing List:
Hey guys.
An infinity of gratitude for all your patience during this 4 month period. Here’s a few quick answers to start things off. No I haven’t quit the show. No I haven’t died. (Yet) No I haven’t turned it over to anyone else. I’m still here, plugging away as usual. There have, however, been some major developments. Developments which I am now allowed to share with you, without the slightest possibility of being sued, severely beaten, or assassinated by an elite team of ninja lawyers. They have them. I’ve SEEN them.
So here goes.
The Xombie property has been optioned by actual, real-life Hollywood producers, who make actual real-life Hollywood movies. Which means, at long last, after almost a year of phone calls, contracts and trips to L.A., there will be a fully-animated Xombie movie. Let me say that again. A fully-animated Xombie movie. Let me say that again… It just feels so good to say it.
The movie itself has been in development for well over a year (as stated), and as of today, has finally gone into production with co-producer Wetsand Animation Studios at the helm. Pictures (yes, Xombie pictures) are actually being drawn at this very moment. By artists. Real ones.
As the production kicks into gear, you – the fans – will be granted access to Wetsand Animation Studios, where you can literally watch the movie being made! Check out the official production site at Xombie.ca. Soon you’ll be able to browse all the latest movie news, concept art, video diaries and more.
