I went to my first Channel 101 screening tonight. For those unfamiliar with the website, 101 is an independent online short movie network. Anyone can submit a 5 minute or less short. Each month, they are screened at Cinespace. The audience votes for 5 winners. These episodes become new Channel 101 series until they are cancelled by the audience at a monthly screening. Most of the work is compiled for little money in a short time period, but it’s fun and a good way for people to share video shorts with each other. I’m hoping to submit stuff in the future.
